Vintage from the 1900s

Date: ca. 1900

A delightful little Art Nouveau vase shaped like a pitcher. The vase is made of a dark coloured pewter. It has an adorned handle and several details all over the surface, including acanthus leaves and two high relief flower appliques. It stands on three scroll feet. The decorations are much inspired by the Louis XV rococo style. It is signed with what looks like ‘H. Peeters’ (I have tried to search for the artist with several name variations, but this is just one of those very many Art Nouveau signatures that remain unknown)

Condition: Good. There is a small gash on the edge of the spout. This is an antique and therefore signs of usage can be expected.
